This coin is authorized by Armenian Central Bank, but is minted in Germany.
These coins are fantastic. Some of the highest quality silver I own.
They also have developed a special process to defend the surface against toning, spots etc.
All of the coins I have are flawless.
What I like:
1: Standard bullion pricing, but as a new player mintages are just beginning to pick up steam.
2: Extremely high quality- something called: HQC-System: Brilliance for the highly sensitive surfaces
3: 5KG - 1/4 Oz size array
4: Armenian (Mt Ararat, where Noah,s Ark end up atop), but German produced.
(these are not Somalian elephants with sketchy authorization-full auth from ACB with sigs on proof set COAs etc)
5: Issue started in 2011 - Only 351,185 minted - a huge bargain at APMEX right now (2012 mintage stands at 457,578)
6: Proof sets started in 2012
7: Like SAE, Philharmonic, Libertad...the obverse is the same every year -
I think this issue is THE sleeper in the Ag bullionisphere.

I haven't used apmex before, nor have I purchased any similar foreign coins. I would like to get one of these 1 oz coins but can't tell if the site is selling proof or unc? Do you know?
Proof sets are very hard to find.
If you just want 1 or so, hit eBay for it.
APMEX shipping forces you to order in quantity.
Loves me some shiny!
They are more expensive than BU ASEs on Provident however.

APMEX has the 2011's in the IRS sale but it ends tonight

If you are buying at APMEX have a look at these , I ordered some last year and was pretty impressed
Fiji Turtles

<< <i>for a supposed "industrial metal", silver sure gets formed into some strange shapes and sizes in order to convince collectors to buy it. >>
I agree, I'm pretty tired of them twisting my arm.

When Acting as the tooth fairy I tend to leave 1968 25 peso Olympic coins. Very impressive and they can't get spent by accident

Noah's Ark never existed. Grow up. It's a myth.

Calm down "Darwin" or should we say Captain Uncreative!
No one is debating the existence of God here. Stop "preaching" (see: irony).
We simply discuss cool bullion to acquire. And this is issue has a lot going for it IMHO.
No need to intellectually intimidated.
