found a strange silver octagon

not sure if silver yet. its heavy and reads high on my detector , 92. it has fire damage and will need alot of cleaning.

Hi Everyone. There was a 1 oz. silver bullion piece made about 20 years ago like this. It actually weighed 1 1/2 ozs.

I'll bring it to my coin dealer friend. He can acid test it. Hes also an expert in world coins and medals. I'll be happy if its just an ounce of silver.

It probably won't be any kind of silver bullion item, I wouldn't think. Surely even with the harsh soil conditions there, silver would come out a bit less encrusted?

The So-Called Dollar or a big token is my guess. Whatever it turns out to be, it's pretty fascinating! Especially in its current mysterious state.
