End Of 2012 Purchase... 1804 Draped Bust Quarter

And I've wanted one like this for years. When this came available to me with very original surfaces, problem free I had to figure a way to get it. And I did.
Mintage is a scant 6,738. I'll concede it's not as significant as the 1796 with a mintage of 6,146. It being a one year type, with the small eagle. But I believe the
1804, first year of the large eagle reverse, might be a bit tougher coin. I like it anyway.

You really should send that dirty old gal to me and look for another "flashier" example stman.
Well it is going to be hard to top a coin like that.
1804 quarters are really tough to find that look that good.
That is a major coin my friend. Congrats on owning that piece of history.
edited to add - even the King's coin is obviously cleaned unlike this one.

Great date and actually rarer than the 1796.
Congrats, it's also a date I have wanted since I was a kid,
eons ago. I really don't think I have ever seen this date in
person, no dealer I know ever had one in their cases when
I was there.
