Large cent pie crimps ?

I remember reading about these in a thread or two over the last year but all my searches come up empty. I found these in an odds & ends lot and before throwing them in the case I'd like pick somebodies brain as to value and verify in fact this is what they are image thanks in advance for any input

They are nice ones. I sold a couple of them in the past for around $20 each here on the boards

I have 2 of them,at first I thought they were used as some kind of gears.

At one time,a guy had several on ebay with red wooden handles,he was asking

    crazy BIN prices.Last time I saw them,they went un-sold.

Very interesting to say the least.

(I have some pics here, can't get them to load?)

I have seen this on old Italian coins used for making ravioli.

    Way cool!

To me those look more like gears, from what I've seen gears are usually straight cut teeth, like yours; pie climbers tend to have offset teeth...meaning the teeth on the one side of the coin are not in line with the teeth on the other side.
