A "knock off" Charmy show report from the PCGS Invite - now done!

I have enjoyed reading Charmy's show reports for years, and I hear from the Penny Diva, er, Penny Lady herself, that NO show report will be made by her fropm Las Vegas. This just will not do, so I'll do my best for a knock-off report.
So, in my best chatty style, here goes!
Drove over to Vegas after dropping TrainNut off at school. Since he has finals next week, no show for him! On the drive from the Inland Empire, aka BFE to some forumites, spotted this freight in Amboy, CA:

Arrived Wednesday afternoon and made it to the correct parking at the Cosmo on the first shot. Most dealers were busy in the "trade 'n grade" mode, but did reconnect with table holders James Sego (segoja), Vic Bozarth, Angel Dees, Doug Winter, and others. James and I had a nice dinner at the hotel Wednesday night and talked coins and what we did in our old day jobs.
Here is one from my collection we discussed:

Also showed John Dannuether and Don Willis three coins from TrainNut's draped bust type set that we wanted Trueviews and edgeview holders on. Had a nice talk about originality on bust halves and bust dollars, and they checked out TrainNut's 3 coins.
Got my room, and since Mrs. claychaser was coming over the next night, decided to get a upgraded room with a view:

After dinner, I went over to Henderson to find a local dive with a $1 crap table. Lost $20 on blackjack, but won $103 on dollar craps. Hopefully my grades will be as good on the coins I dropped off! Did not get back to thenhotel til 1:00 am, then decided to have a drink (I have a personal set alcholol and driving limit of 0.0000) at the hotel blackjac bar. Nursed a dollar stake for a compled and really big and really good Manhattan on the rocks.
Went back to the room, showered off the cigarette smoke, took a bath in the Japaneese style tub and crashed at about 3 am. That was a good plan until my daily phone alarm started the bonoxious rooster tones at 5:20 am. Fell back asleep til 9:15 for Thursday's action, where I shopped more tables, and bought a couple of coins out of Dave Wnuck's junkbox at HLRC. Then it was on to auction lots at Legend. Some really nice coins, but the vast majority waaaay out of my budget.
While I was enjoying lunch, Kove found me at the lunch table. We had a nice talk about the commems in the auction, and I showed off my "Pre Dirty Thirties" commem set. Talked with George at Legend for ahwile, and Laura thought we were both being real "coin weenies". A lot of good natured bantering going on - as the say, a good time was had by all......
More dealer action in the afternoon, then onto the auction in the room upstairs. Now, there is the normal rubber chicken auction food, then there is Legend's first rate fare:

During the auction, Mrs. claychaser arrived via air, so we met and went on our own. She was very pleased with the room, so I'm in good shape so far
No luck on any of the auction coins for me.
On Friday, Mrs. claychaser learned that my room package had a $150 resort credit with it. She lost no time in using that at the hotel hair salon, or as I call it, the saloon.
More coin stuff for me on Friday, and had another killer lunch courtesy of PCGS. Wrote up my 28 coin economy submission, including a really cool Monroe slickie and 4 1851-0 3 cent silvers
ranging from PO-1 to AU on the claychaser grading scale, and a 09-S over horizontal S cent that Andy from Angel Dee's was gracious enough to confirm my attribution on. I would have asked the Penny Lady, but I heard her say something about poker, and she was not at the show at that time.......
On Friday, we say the sights at the Bellagio next door, including their Christmas atrium:

And a Christmas train for TrainNut:

Picked up the Trueview coins on Saturday, and bumped into Alan from Northern Nevada Coin. After that, the show closed up pretty quickly.
Just an enjoyable event!
