Hello...I was trying to access photobucket this morning to add a couple of pics. For some reason it would open initially and then just go to a blank screen. Has anyone else been having an issue with them?

...used it a little while ago, no problem.
I have another hosting company I can use tho.
Shutterfly
i still highly advise learning how to ftp and host image(s), files, videos etc that way
.
Needless to say..........I'm really disappointed. But, I'm sure they have their reasons. Such as enabling mobile devices, enabling direct posts to FaceBook (arg!), enabling direct posts to Twitter (bigger arg!) and whatever else goofy service or device which may pop up in the near future.

I liked a lot about the new format but it was missing some things I really want.

Yes. You can opt out but in the very near future, opting out will NOT be an option.
To quote:
"Thank you for taking the time to test out the new Photobucket, we appreciate your feedback.
We understand how a complete redesign can take some getting used to.
We are taking all user feedback and ideas into consideration, and will continue to make changes to improve the site. We will be updating the site as new features and functions are ready, so keep an eye out for new things to come.
If you want to opt out of the new Photobucket, simply click on the "Switch back to the original Photobucket" link under your username at the top of your Photobucket page. Please note that the original version of Photobucket will only be available for another 1-2 months.
If at anytime you want to get back to the new site, simply click the try it now button on this page: http://photobucket.com/betaoptin/index?src=support
Thank you! "
My experience with Photobucket is that once they've set their minds to a change, they will not alter their plans. I've also experienced weird things such as defaulting to a mobile device which I have never enabled with Photobucket. That caused some irritating glitches!
In the mean time, I've put off the inevitable and will now start learning this new format which they will implement shortly. My initial contact with the software caught me off guard and I thought for sure that something went wrong but, evidently, someone put me into beta mode accidently or I unintentionally cvlicked some lionk somewhere which activated it. At any rate, might as well get used to it.

...the new format certainly makes one pause two or three times when navigating the site.
The first that I noticed was than while displaying an album that has more than 50 or so pictures, you can "scroll" through all those pictures without having to advance forward to the next page.
Getting the [IMG] links is different though in that you need an extra click or two to get to the "media code".

<< <i>Well, I switched over and the new format does have some good points.

I have found the new photobucket not as appealing as the old one. But that scrolling feature is indeed a positive one. But I dislike change anyway so I am sure in a while I will forget all about the old version. Although, looks wise I think this new one is fugly.
I have a lot of albums and moving around is a lot easier with the new version. I dislike pages so the feature Lee pointed out is nice too.
Can't recall what it was that made me switch back. I provided feedback. Maybe they're listening.

<< <i>As I said I'm still on the old version but I remember trying the beta and liking some things.

Well, I remember why I switched back and it revolved around the phrase.....WTH??
But.......since they are going to implement it anyway, might as well jump in with both feet since I have W-a-a-a-y tooo many linked images to move them off and ditch PB. Besides, if I did that, I'd have to learn some other product anyway.
