  • It has a lot of potential for a 9 with PSA. IMO, Beckett is stricter with their grading than PSA is. Beautiful card.

Hey Rick, post this in the Pay it Forward thread and I'll take it.

Beautiful card, but upper corners look to have very slight wear. Unlikely to cross to PSA 9 IMO. More likely PSA 8

I can't even see the card because I'm at work and don't have access; but I can clearly comment on something.............Beckett is not stricter with their grading than PSA///////////////On vintage cards PSA is 10 times stricter and more accurate. It's not even close......Not close. I look at a couple of sellers on EBAY who have stuff like 62 Aarons in BVG 8's and they look like 7's at best. On 55 bowman stuff there 8's look like 6.5's...............Not to mention a ton of the stuff looks trimmed. On vintage I will buy SGC all day as well as PSA; but generally will not touch Beckett with a 10 foot pole. For vintage; most folks share this same opinion. I don't anyone who buys or grades a lot of vintage with Beckett. Modern is a different story. Remember, this has nothing to do with the card as I can't even see it.

    Foo...........I like your 73 Aaron.image

You sound biased!! Never say never. some of my most valuable cards crossed from bvg 9 to psa 10. i have a 1964 rose that went from a 6.5 to a psa 7. i think you have a 25% chance crossing either way.

    OLB,
    9 to 10? Vintage? and I'm not biased....I have eyes and I'm not blind.image
  • Nice card, but I can't ever imagine it in a PSA 9 holder- all four corners show a little bit of wear. IMO this card is a perfectly centered 8.

  • Good looking card. At one time this could have been a PSA 8 for all we know and was cracked and sent to Beckett.

Always looking for Vintage Yankees & NASCAR
