Reggie Jackson Autographs

Hey Guys,

Just wanted to give you an FYI. Reggie was signing TTMs if you sent $40.00 to his "Mr. October Foundation for Kids" in California. So on 11/16/12 I sent a '69 Rookie Card along with a check in the sum of $40.00 to his foundation.

Today I received back the package. I was pretty excited to open it, but not as excited when I looked at the card. My unsigned card and my check were sent back, along with the following:

That's the straw that stirs the drink. At least it is going to a kid's charity.

Sky ... I agree that it is great that it is going to a charity. My thread was not a complaint, but more of an FYI for the fellow board members in case they were going to send a request. I wanted them to know the price went up.

  • Looks like Reggie's foundation needs a proofreader . . . excepting ???
  • I wonder if they're "excepting" spelling lessons. I charge $76 per word.

HAHAHA ... yeah, I saw that. So I guess if he is "Excepting" $75.00 per auto and CHARGING $75.00 per auto ... then the auto is FREE! LOL

the "exception" is that he will "accept" your money instead of blowing you off like a dead leaf.

I saw him at the big SEMA show a few years back and he signed my show program for free with a nice notation.

At least Reggie has a nice legible signature unlike some of the current athletes. Sam Bradford has a nice autograph as well, makes me want to collect his auto RCs just because they display very well.

Maybe he's trying to make up for times when he refused to sign because he was "off the clock"!
  • The letter says $75 with an additional $25 for an inscription, but the fee schedule says $89/99 and $25 more for an inscription.
  • too bad he didn't sign the return letter...
