I found a .67 ingot today.

I thought this was pretty cool sitting in a bullion box this afternoon at a little shop on the coast.
It sure is an odd size. I'm a big fan of Nevada silver in general... but Comstock silver & Virginia City stamped to boot!

That is pretty cool. May I ask what something like that goes for? Very neat silver item with tons of history behind it!

I bet it was a significant premium over melt. Nice pick up!

maybe not if the seller had it sitting in the "bullion box". The seller might have not be aware of what they had and just wanted Spot for it since Spot is up.
I've found some less common bars in the generic silver box at alot of the local shops around here and got them on the cheap...not very often, but it does happen from time to time when lady luck is shining on you lol.

Cute. I assume it is vintage 1980?

Very true. Sometimes there are bargains to be found.

That would be my guess. Doesn't appear to be from the old west. Probably more of a souvenier or novelty piece but a neat bar in any case.

I believe you are correct. I believe I saw some of those bars in tourist shops when I visited Virginia City about 10-15 years ago.

That was my guess as well. Still, I've never ever seen one like this before.

About 10 years back I bought a 1oz piece out of their gift shop and felt silly for paying "double melt".
We were on vacation at the time visiting Virginia City and I paid $20 bucks for the art bar.
