Thursday and yesterday had some great weather, so I had to get out!

Thursday was a new place so it was going to be hit or miss but there was good potential for a hit.

Within a few minutes a merc pops out! Then some Lincoln cents then some more Lincolns. Then got a 1916 Merc. Was hoping for a D but it doesn't look so. Then some more Lincolns. Man the Lincoln cents were out in full force. But throughout the hunt 32 wheat cents were mixed in. Hit a milestone for the year - my 500th wheat for 2012!

Got a '46 Roosie and then got a loud honking signal. Decided to dig it as it didn't seem like a soda can. It was between some roots but I could see a big silver rim sticking straight up. "What??" Pulled it out to see a Barber half dollar! What a nice surprise. 1900-O.

Rounded out the day with two more mercs.

Wheats are: 1951, 1950-S, 1952, 1945, 1944, 1946, 1946, 1946, 1945, 1941, 1920, 1944, 1926, 1913, 1940, 1944, 1945, 1946, 1946, 1930, 1945, 1920, 1945, 1929, 1941, 1946, 1914, 1934, 1921-S, 1926, 1919, 1930

Ended with 144 Lincoln cents including the 32 wheats. 229 coins total. Was certainly sore after that.

YESTERDAY
Got back to the place that yielded the 1819 half real. Had a good mix of things - 2 mercs and a silver roosie. The Roosie was part of a small pocket spill. Started with a wheat-ish signal. Out popped a cent and a nickel, then found another cent in the hole, rescanned with the detector and got a dime signal. Out pops another wheat? Flip it over and see a silver roosevelt stuck to it!

The junk USA ring was made in Hong Kong... not too sure how I feel about that, but it is what it is. Also got part of an ID bracelet? There is a name on it, so might try to track down the owner. It looks silver, but the test kit doesn't indicate it... very odd.

So, 9 silvers for the weekend. Hopefully can get out for a few hours today.
