1986 Panini
This is the seller that I got a number of cards from and purchased a sealed box too. It seamed strange to me that he kept having lots of stars in singles for sale and it is because he is searching the boxes.
I just opened a box that originated from him and it was a total disaster. There was not one star card and only a few of the semi star tennis players.
No Tyson, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdual Jabar, Drazen P, Carl Lewis, none.
I noticed a coalition on the Tyson packs last time and I am sure he has too.
I have also heard from several people that he is doing off EBAY deals and not shipping the boxes and tying up large amounts of money and forcing PayPal disputes.
I just flushed $625 down the toilet but there are worse things in life.
Do not buy from this seller anymore!!!!

I have purchased a number of items from this seller. Many board members have asked me if this seller was good and I said yes as I had a number of positive experiences.
In the past 12 weeks he has had these EBAY listings up and offering to sell 5 to 10 boxes at a time.
I know several people who have paid him and never got the product. Anywhere from $3,000 to $6,000 tied up in PayPal claims. Outright fraud.
I purchased this box from someone else who owned it and bought it from him in the past year.
This guy realized early on which cards from the packs brought big money in the US and found them and sold them raw at the same time selling boxes.
These packs are see through so you can see the top and bottom sticker easily.

<< <i>I have purchased 4 of these boxes, and busted 2 of them. I have one left, and am concerned it is bogus too. They were good about a year ago, but seems that since the Tyson craze kicked in there is a something funny going on. Your supposed to get 2 per box, and I've heard of 3. But never 0. That just sucks. >>
? Your boxes were good about a year ago ? and since you owned them, have become ungood ? Or are you saying you purchased 4 good boxes a year ago, and were good, but since the time you purchased those boxes, other boxes became ungood. Just gotta ask. legit question ?
<< <i>Claiming something is fake/false, from a wrestling card fan just doesn't jive. One word reply requested from the OP: Wrestling: Fake/Real ? Yes/No >>
They simply cant man up and admit it. It is disturbing such big men can't do it.
When this seller first introduced these stickers to the US he was getting $80 for a Tyson. He has gotten $500 for raw Tyson's.
If you do not think that is reason enough to look for the good cards fine. Both packs I opened in my first box with Tyson were the same pack all six stickers.
Other major stars were the same.
So I have a large number of sealed packs. If I am going to turn into a scam artist and not send buyers merchandise and force them to use PayPal dispute to get their money back why would I not search the packs and see if I could find the better money cards and sell them raw and then sell boxes of some of the rest of the packs?

I have purchased them over the last almost 2 years. The two I opened had two Tyson's in them, now with Dpeck saying that his was no good, the more recent one I had bought I have concerns with if indeed he is searching them.

I'm not the OP, but I used to be a casual wrestling fan years ago. It's pretty obvious that wrestling is "fake", but it is entertainment. Similar to watching a movie with a "fake" story, or reading a fictional book, sometimes we suspend disbelief and just go along for the ride to have fun. I'm not sure why a wrestling fan all of a sudden loses his ability to question an obvious scammer.

The bigger problem is selling a large number of boxes and not sending them and tying up someone's money for six weeks or more.
There are three people that I am aware of that have tried purchasing a large number of boxes and then he gave them the same song and dance and finally PayPal was brought in and two are still working on getting their funds back.
I have a bigger problem with this as this is not a debatable topic.
I personally think you could easily search these boxes if you really tried especially if you were sitting on a hoard like this seller was.
It would be extremely easy to simply line up the sticker packets and no one could tell which box they came from.
You could easily write down the top stickers from each pack you got and once you nailed the Mike Tyson pack which in both cases when I opened one was the fourth sticker in and the same exact pack twice you could open those and if you got a few wrong no big deal, if you found them you sell them raw and just grab a few packs from another box and then you sell it for $600+ and you win.
I did not think to write down any sequencing but as witnessed on this board with 86 Fleer and Topps Rack Packs etc. others have so it is not a novel idea.
I do not think attempting to search these boxes is not a far fetched idea whatsoever. There was a long period where he was selling groups of packs in 5, 10 and 20 increments. I only know one person who bought some of those and of course nothing in them.
Either way this thread was only started to send out a warning as my ability to give this seller a positive recommendation is no longer.
I am not familiar with the product...
please elaborate...

Simply write down the sequence of the packs you open and you will find the trend.
Hold the sticker packets up to a bright light and see who is on top.
If you see the sticker that coincides with the stickers you are looking for open it.
I can't say for sure if it works every time but I know for fact it will work many times and if you have a hoard of the stuff it is well worth the effort if that is how you want to do business.

The party is over in Cyprus.
This seller was smart to unload so much of his merchandise. His EBAY ID has changed and his sales have slowed dramatically.

This situation is going to most likely crush the Cyprus economy and I have to assume that it will be harder to do international business for the people of Cyprus.
I could see certain business's being unwilling to do business with Cyprus as the political risk is so high and this event proves that.
A company like EBAY through it's PayPal unit could for example simply decide to no longer do business there. I am not sure how likely that is but it wouldn't be the first time something like that has happened and if so someone in his position would be instantly shut down.
