Grade opinion please - 59 Gibson

Card is in an SGC holder. Thinking about cracking and seeing what PSA grades it.

No tricks. No surface issues. Graded accurately I believe by SGC. What say you?

Thanks, Bob

    7- 7.5
  • What a beautiful Gibson rookie, perfect centering.

I think PSA would give it an 8.5

is the white on his lip on the case or the card?

Bob ... is that a stain above the "O" in Gibson? I'll assume no.

Looks like a small fish-eye below the "N" in Gibson.

Centering ... I know you are a stickler on centering ... and this one is AMAZING.

That being said, I would guess it's sitting in an SGC 86. Not sure if PSA would cross it over equally or put it a 1/2 grade lower in a "7" slab.

It's a card that presents very well.

Its nuts centered but all the corners have a touch. Very nice card and a 7.5 is a nice card.

Guessing currently SGC 8...shouldn't have a problem getting it into a PSA 8 holder (I'd let it in the SGC holder if it was my card).

I like 59's in Sgc holders too. I will guess 7.5 to 8.

You guys freaked me out with the herp on his lip. It was a small white hair on the case. Just wiped it off and whent PHEW, thought I missed that.

It's a 7.5. I'm happy with the slab it's in, was just kinda hoping you folks thought is was a slam dunk 8, even though I didn't think so myself. No cracking here. Still the best one I've owned. went from a 4, to a 6 and now this one. Maybe an 8 someday, If it's centered image

    Thanks for playing.

Stunning card, especially for one so hard to find centered.

It is a nice card Bob. Agree about the centering.

I think it *could* be an 8, depending on what the top left and bottom right corners look like on closer inspection.

Okay folks....first, let's not talk about something that barely exists=======the crossover service.

That's a nice card and on a good day could end up in an 8 holder. If you really want it in a PSA holder...crack it out. The light rough cut and overall appearance tells me the card is 100% unaltered. I think it's worth a shot.

And if it winds up in a '7' holder, then Bob is going to feel cheated....

Mickey. Re-read the 1st post. My intentions would be crack. I'm with you......the crossover service is a waste of money.

Gorgeous card regardless of what holder it's in!
  • I looked at the card for a few seconds before reading ANY of comments and I came up with PSA 7. Seems everyone agrees as well so you can pretty much expect a 7 at minimum. I don't believe you will get an 8 with those touched corners but your 7 will pull in a premium because of the centering. Beautiful card. I wish I had that one in my collection.

  • that is a beautiful card. it would be tough to find one with better eye appeal. leave it in its resting place, it looks magnificent right where it is.
