Newps - Maundy set and Borneo Cent

The maundy set was a purchased from a forum member. The BNB is a coin I've owned before and always wanted back. Now it's back to stay.

I really like the Maundy set- My 1905 set is in the multi-coin NGC holder- not sure that is even being done anymore

Mnemtsas: wow those are beautiful coins. I love British coinage but have passed my collection off to my daughter. So when I buy coins for her to add to "her" collection, it's totally living vicariously. :-). I believe she has one Maundy piece but not a whole set. What's a good ceiling figure to pay for a decent set. Not necessarily rare or super unc, but lightly handled, common date? Any good dealers who handle non certified coins? I don't think I can justify the expense of a PCGS graded set off the bat.

200-250 can get you a perfectly good raw Vicky or Ted maundy set. Add 50-100 to that and you can get a graded one. I've bought mine from all over, this one is the first graded set I've bought.

Ha! Well I was mistaking in my head for what I thought was a Maundy piece for some early 1900's 3d coins lol. Shows you how much I look at my British set any more. Thanks for the guidelines on Maundy sets. I hope to be able to use that info in the future to buy a nice set for my daughter.
