<< <i>Ed Meador Jim Tyrer - One of the initial acquired brain injury victims? Steve At-water Lomas Brown Ken Riley Carl Eller Lenny Moore >>
Lenny Moore, class of '72 or '73 and Carl Eller are in the HOF already.
I would add Mick Tinglehoff to the 'should be' in the HOF list. Best center in the NFL during the 1960's.
I forgot about Tyrer. Great OL for the Chiefs. Meador was great too. They both sadly committed suicide.
It would be nice to see a player like Steve Tasker make the HOF too. Special teams play is so overlooked and accounts for maybe 10% of all plays in a typical game.
Looking at all the names on these lists, there's about 10 years worth of future HOF candidates here. It would be great to see many of these players recognized while they are still alive and not voted in the year they passed away or later like Les Richter was recently. He'll never know he made the hall.
1. Al Wistert 2. Mac Speedie 3. Lavvi Dilewg 4. Jim Tyrer (will never, ever make it based upon his tragic demise) 5. Tony Latone 6. Maxie Baughan 6. Jerry Kramer 7. Tommy Nobis 8. Walt Sweeney 9. Winston Hill 10. Ken Anderson
And just because he deserves to be mentioned although not necessarily in the Pro Football Hall of Fame:
Lydell Mitchell. and Roger Craig...two of the top five all-purpose backs ever. If Curtis Martin, Lynn Swann, and Larry Csonska are in, then both these guys should be too. LC Greenwood too.
Andersen actually isn't eligible yet. I believe next time will be the first time he is eligible. I think he will get in at some point. Probably not first ballot though.

I googled / wiki'ed Meador. He'd be surprised to learn he died. Still kicking it at 75.

That's why I need to proofread...I was thinking, Jim Marshall, Eller's counterpart and Herman Moore. Ehh, got most my point across.
<< <i>Morten Andersen >>
Absolutely!

Thanks for the correction. Glad to hear Meador's alive and well.
I'm not exactly sure which player I was thinking of in my above post.

<< <i>Lyle Alazdo >>
He deserves Hall induction based on Destroyer alone.
