Strange Darkside Find!

Recovered this Aluminum German Notgeld Westphalia Province 1923 50 Million Mark in my sisters yard a few weeks ago.
Could hardly make any of the details out when I found it but managed to clean it up some.
Without a doubt the strangest coin I've ever recovered.

Neat find! That's from the hyperinflation days of the Weimar Republic.

This is Notgeld- Issued by the German State of Westphalia. There is a series of these that started in 1921 and ended in 1923- There is a variety of the one pictured that is a tough variety- off the top of my head, I can not remember if it is the 2 line or 3 line variety or if mark is abbreviated. What I mean by the lines is where the demonimation is listed. You may wish to go on line and check Heritage as the rare variety is highly collectable

Experience the World through Numismatics...it's more than you can imagine.

  • Wow! That's interesting coincat! I guess I need to look at it better and research that.
Thank you for chiming in with all the info. Interesting!
