Exactly! Counterfeiters are scum! Don't encourage them!

P.S.: They are not silver. If you paid a silver price for them you got taken!

Well, some are great education. Personally I would not mind owning very, very well made fakes just so I have a reference point and can study them for diags and whatnot.

I did not buy them he gave them to me, said he hade a box with a bunch of mixed stuff so i just wanted to ask. I know that alot of collectors are looking for Jefferson nickels so i did not know if any of the others stuff would be good. image

I'd be interested in at least photographing as many as you would be willing to send to me and of course I'd send them back unless you wanted a nominal trade for the whole group, and yes i know this isn't the BST but such items probably cannot be legally advertised for sale since they do not have copy or the like on them. very much appreciate your consideration. :-)

Same here. Being able to identify fakes in hand is valuable knowledge.

I wonder how much rage I could generate if I walked into my local b&m and asked if he had any fake coins for sale. image

Those look exactly like the fakes that can be found in Chinatowns and even at tourist traps in China.

    Worthless fakes with zero silver

I;m beginning to get very concerned about the number of "look at my counterfeits" discussions. Myself included, I posted a fake Peace dollar just a few days ago found floating in a pile of melt silver dollars.

It's getting pretty scary out there.

Wouldn't buying them encourage the counterfeiters and were this guy got them from?

Just curious, how do folks know these are not silver? I sure can't tell from the pictures.

Because there is no Santa Claus! The counterfeiters are not going to put $24+ dollars worth of silver into a fake they are going to sell for just a few dollars and still make money!

Don't buy counterfeits! It only encourages the counterfeiters to make more!!!!!

They are not silver. I bought a complete BU set of Morgans on eBay for $70 for show and tell at the 2010 ANA Show in Fort Worth. I gave many of them away as sample study pieces.
