A tough 1827 CBH Overton D.M. I 'picked on eBay...

Haven't done much this evening, but checking the mail brightened up my night a bit - I opened the mailbox to find the package of this raw 1827/6 CBH I purchased on eBay a few days ago. Although the coin was attributed as the overdate, the O-# wasn't stated in the listing.

It may not look like much, but the die marriage is a toughie (to say the least). I already have an example of this overdate in PCGS holder, but not this particular die marriage - the scarcest of the three using this obverse die. I had been holding out to find a nice example of this D.M. to fill the whole in my Registry set, but decided to settle for a pleasing example of another, more common 1827/6 D.M... Well, just my luck, only a week or so after purchasing that more common 1827/6 D.M., I stumble apon this one on eBay... *sigh*. image

Anyways, since you already know it's the 1827/6, you have a 1/3 shot of getting the Overton # right...

So give me your best. image

Thanks,
Brian
