Ebay user 10hans5961

I'm interested in a couple of seated coins he has up for auction and I noticed that every one of his 78 auctions has many bids on them. Unusual I thought. Took a look at feedback and everything is private.
Wondered if anyone on the baord has had dealings with this seller and had an opinion they cared to share.
Thanks

Even though I don't particularly care for Private feedback, I think that his pics are good
enough to determine a value. I would be a bidder if I saw one I needed.

Now he does have 8 negatives and 9 nuetrals in the last 12 months. Go to toolhaus.org
and put in his user ID.

I have never dealt with this seller. I don't particularly care for sellers with private feedback.

Here are his negative & neutral feedbacks as reported by Toolhaus.org, so you can judge for yourself.

over-graded, harshly cleaned, listed as high-grade. many an ebay seller makes a nice living duping the public, but that is what a return policy is for as well as educating one's self

    I'd run away fast!!

Most of his coins are at least 2 points overgraded.

His 'ms66' 1935 Peace dollar has been swiped clean very strongly.

His 1943-s (I think) ms66 Washington quarter looks to me as if it's been whizzed.

Bottom line.....private feedback means 'STAY AWAY".

I took a look and did not care for what I saw.
Unless he has something you really want and can not find anywhere else I would pass.

His auctions are private, not his feedback. You can not be a seller on eBay with private feedback. This seller is just one of many peddling over graded coins on eBay.

I see a lot of overgraded, cleaned, and sometimes scratched coins.

    Here's a good example.

    Lance.
  • The first sign is that he photoshops his pix by darkening them to hide cleaning.

If a coin is photographed in a 2x2 holder, first thing I do is check the color of the holder card paper. If it is anything but bright white, then the pix has been enhanced to hide problems of the coin.

In this sellers case, the 2x2 color is pinkish brown. That is to hide the fact that the coins are overly bright from harsh cleaning.

Raw "uncirculated" capped bust halves, on ebay. That alone should tell you everything you need to know. Yes there is some possibility that you get what is advertised, but it's a pretty low probability.

The seller must have some kind of magical charm, when they can get sheeple to pay over $400 for an obviously hacked up, polished 1888-S Morgan worth about $30, that was offered as MS++++. image

i've only been on this planet a meager 34 years but I have a significant appreciation for just how strong people's desires are to punish themselves...

Keep in mind the off-color may just be the result of poor white-balance.

One of the things that struck me was that all of his auctions had multiple bids, many with over 20, smacks of a little "inside" bidding
