Just graduated from auctioneer school....

I just finished auctioneer school this past weekend and Im very happy about it. I take my state exam next month. Post a coin that you won at an auction that your happy about.

    congratulations!

    Won this by bidding in person at a Heritage auction (Denver ANA, 2006). It's the plate coin from THE half dime book ("Federal Half Dimes 1792-1837" by Logan and McCloskey):

    My favorite auctioneer of all time was George Bennett. Picture a guy who looked and sounded like an English WW I vet going as fast as a North Carolina tobacco auctioneer. If you looked at him, scratched your nose, belched or farted, it was counted as a bid.

    My current favorite is Bob Merrill of Heritage. No one else comes close.

    I have some in my collection I'm very happy with. But it's hard to top what Barndog posted. Wow.
