Grading Opinions, Please

This is from the 2006 Topps 1952 Style Rookies. The card stock is thick cardboard like cards were in '52, there are no hidden surface blemishes on the front or back, and looking at the card from the sides, the corners are well defined and fairly sharp. Thanks for any opinions/criticisms.

Three touched corners. I will say PSA 7 NM.

I agree with the majority. I can't see how that card could grade any higher than a "7" with the touches on those corners.

    Cool card.

Don't get me wrong, but Verlander had more cards made in 2005 (legit MLB cards) than he did in 2006 yet for some reason people still buy that this is a RC. To top it off this card was made AFTER the 2006 season finished, lol, read the back of the card. I get why people may not consider his 2003 and 2004 cards RC's but a card made after the 2006 season is pushing it for a RC imo.

Yup, they talk about him being the 2006 Rookie Wins Leader, but yet they don't include the year in his stats. The stats are his Minor League Totals. What's up with the numbers below the stats line? Looks some the proofreader was drunk the day this plate was made.

Thanks for all the input. I assessed the card at 7.5 - 8, but some fine members of ebay disagreed, and since I am trying to be as accurate as possible I thought I'd post it up here. I like his 05 Topps and Topps Chrome cards myself.

What grade did the fine members of EBAY assign the card?

I got a few messages on the subject, most of them said EX or EX-MT, one guy said it was Fair. All of them made offers, of course, as they were willing to do me a favor and take the card off my hands.

With the damage to those corners I could see estimates in the EX-MT range. It is hard to tell from a scan how bad they are but I see no chance this card grades higher then the PSA 7 I suggested.

Unless there is a crease or a wrinkle I would say estimates any lower then a PSA 6 are to harsh for the card.

To be fair I did not put the corner scans on the listing.

True Ex/Mnt card. One that if not for those three touches would be mint.

    Nice example.
