Got back today to the area that yielded 13 silvers the other day. Had all day to finish this place and got out there bright and early. Within 45 minutes I had three silvers (coins in pic are shown in order found). Seemed like it was pretty quick to 7 silvers, then slowed down after that. Ended with 10 silver coins! Haven't looked through the rest of the coins, but there's one IHC, I think 1 V nickel, and at least 3 buffalo nickels too. Probably a bunch of wheats too.
Early in the hunt I got an unassuming low tone. Dig down about an inch and see some kind of jewelry... came out and I thought, "what the hell is this?" Looked like junk and something fell off it... After figuring out it was a mangled ring, I wiped it off and didn't see any flaking... and thought I saw some kind of stamp, but couldn't quite make it out. Found what fell out, it was a green (peridot?) heart stone. Was fortunate to find it. Got home and cleaned it off... boy is it mangled, but she's 10k!! Weight 1.8 grams. Has four micro stones...since they're so small, they're probably diamonds.
HH All!
Update, alright, checked out the other coins, here's the silver total, and the other coins:

<< <i>What, no silver dollar How can you stand it when you have to wait a day to get back to a spot like this? >>
haha, not sure that Silver Dollar will ever come.
I hit this spot today for almost 8 hours, and unfortunately, it's a small area so it's pretty much covered. I'm sure things were missed though, and I left a lot of the shallow coins (mostly cents and some dime signals). Might be a good spot for the spring to give things time to settle a bit there.
BTW, how's the walnut harvest going?
