I traveled to an inter-club meet and greet Sunday in Waterloo, N.Y.(founding place of Memorial Day) which included a mini bourse. Didn't see a heckuva lot of fresh material, but this made my day - a love token, engraved on a No Motto Seated half dollar, and even hand carved into octagonal shape! Whoever the suitor was that presented this to his courtship must have been of fairly modest means. It caught my eye because prior to seeing the coin design, I thought it might have been created on a thin planchet Norse American medal. Its all good!
