This little beauty of mine popped tonight. Any guesses as to what it graded?

    Did not see the creasing in the lower right part of the card. Changed my guess to 2.5

    LOL! Marc has an inside track......it was graded a PSA 1. I think it is a really nice PSA 1, but there is a spider wrinkle that runs from the top to the bottom. To read PSA's grade assessment, a PSA 1 says that all eye appeal has vanished entirely from the card. I don't think that is the case here. I think the card has plenty of eye appeal. I will stick it into my "live and learn" pile and just hold onto it. It is my favorite Mantle card - I like it so much, I had my girlfriend paint a picture of it for me!

    Bobby, love the 53 Mantle card as well. It looks like 2.5 or 3 . It shows really well, enjoy. I also love the painting, your girlfriend did a great job!!

    Thanks Scottie....she did it with colored pencils. The 1953 was the perfect choice for her to do, as the card is an artist rendition anyway, so it translated well to paper. She has tackled many hobbies since I have known her, and now her hobby is gardening. I would love for her to do me a '53 Satchell Paige card, but she has kind of moved away from drawing. She also told me if she ever did another one, they would have to be living so I can get it signed.....

    BTW Maurice, I scanned my cards with the dust removal feature turned off like you suggested last month and it worked. Looks better. Thanks.

    You are 100% right Marc....the Mantle is not for sale....I was contemplating a crack-out....and Marc...you didn't need to get advice from an alt/troll. I could have told you about the dust removal feature. Maurice is useless....

    The scan of the raw card shows a small brown patch on the bottom edge that looks like a water stain. Is this why it might have gotten the straight 1?
