Another yummy buffalo newp :o)

Just pulled the trigger on this one, so not in hand yet, but if it is even close to as nice as the pics then I will be a happy camper. Couldn't resist the strike on this 31S!

It will definitely be in the next submission to our host. As always GTG and opinions are welcome and encouraged.

Nice one! Looks like a solid 65, if you ask me... But I'd be curious to see if those spots on the obv hold it back.

very nice and i would give it a sixty-five. also the strike on the obverse is decent, not full but about as good as you get for this usually weak struck obverse. Congrats.

  • Actually got this one in the mail today, and it is going back. Not apparent in the pics is some awful residue on the reverse, which looks to me like the remains of a bad dip job. Yucko!

Oh well, at least the seller has a good return policy!

aside from what appears to be a little haze on the rev, i certainly didn't see the return coming.

Dang. Based on the image, the coin looks like a very nice 65/66. Too bad it doesn't look so nice in-hand.

  • Yup- I honestly don't think any photo doctoring was done, however, believe it or not this is the same coin:

  • Although the coin was disappointing, the return process from this seller was courteous, professional, and ultra fast! I got my money refunded with no questions, no hassle, the very same day they received the coin back. image

ONCE that seller had a certified coin that I was interested in. I refused to bid out of general principle.

Hard to imagine that it's even the same coin!
I don't think lighting alone could have disquised this disastrous reverse...

Yet another reason why I would never consider bidding on a coin strictly based on an image. Yes, you have a return policy as a safety net, but my attitude is no vale la pena. It looks like some sort of booger has been on the coin probably longer than I have been on this planet.
