Well it is a double interest for me. I love the design and Texas history. You are right about being a bit busy but I think the winged figure in the front just draws your focus and prevents eye fatigue so to speak. It also seems balanced in symmetry so very eye pleasing to me for a coin.
Gold and silver are valuable but wisdom is priceless.
Being from Texas, of course it's my favorites of all the classic commemoratives. I own a raw one but fell in love with the one below when I saw it on eBay a couple years ago. I bid but was beat out. Any one here own it?
