Good news regarding an Ebay purchase of Chinese fakes...

Back in late August as I was searching various 'completed auctions' on Ebay.UK, I noticed one seller having sold about 14 'CC' Morgans that were obvious fakes.
One buyer 'st*****', purchased two of the more expensive ones and paid a little over 500 pounds.
I sent him the following email on Aug. 30th....
Dear st*****,
Hi St***;
I would strongly advise having those two recently purchased CC Morgans (85 and 93)checked for authenticity.I've been collecting for 40 years and I'm extremely familiar with the Chinese counterfeits, especially the rarer date CC Morgans and I'm just saying to check them out.I'm based in Canada and many of us collectors here spread the word about these counterfeits.Personally, I'm 100% sure these are no good. You can go on Heritage coin auctions and compare the dates and mintmarks. Yours (the Chinese ones) have completely different positioning and styling of the letters and numbers. Also, (and I can't tell this from the pics but this is a diagnostic char. of these fakes) if you 10X the surfaces and tops of the letters, you'll see a 'graineness' almost a micro sand blast surface which is never on the genuine coins.I wouldn't want you to be out 500 pounds.
I never received a response from him and in the next few weeks I often wondered if he was insulted or just never paid any attention to it.
Then last evening I received this email from him.........
Hi Tony,
Thanks fot the heads-up on the two coins. I just got a full refund from ebay.

We've exchanged a few more emails today and I feel better that things are a little better today in Ebayland.

<< <i>How did you find the Ebay buyer's ID? As of a couple years ago, Ebay bidder's IDs are hidden, except to the seller. If I were able, I would do the same... >>
My thoughts, too. The only way you can email a winning bidder is if they already left feedback for the seller. Otherwise, if you look at the bid history, you cannot email the bidders.
Way to go! All too often folks see things and look the other way because they don't want to get involved and it takes time and effort to intervene. However, the only way to ever stamp out crime is to stand up to it, when and where you find it.
I applaud you for your efforts here and encourage others to do the same. We are in fact the all too often silent majority who do things the "right" way and are good, honest, decent people. We can make a difference if we choose to.
buyer on a different coin. I get about one a month or so as a thank you. Just glad I can help
another collector. I'm sure this is how Double Eagle feels as well.
Oh, you have to wait till feedback is left to get their ID to send a note.
Here's mine (not to take over this thread but to encourage others to do the same, as many of
us do).

Here's my note:
Dear tplates,
You recently bought a Goloid Dollar. It's a fake and get it authenticated. Return it if it is, Ebay will waive any return period on counterfeit coins. Go through Ebay customer service to do so.

Here's his back to me:
Dear bobandlinda1,
Thanks for the tip?finally got the refund?E-Bay didn?t make it easy
To identify a buyer, you have to watch the sellers feedback. If the buyer leaves feedback on
the transaction it will show their ID then you can click on it, and actually contact that individual.
May be another way, but that is how I do it....

That is correct and is what I said in my post above. However, the OP did not seem to indicate he found it by looking at feedback, but rather just completed auctions. That is what left us perplexed.

Yes, that's the way I found the email.
I guess I overlooked this important point.
