A few Civil War Era Items and other coins from a local B&M

Well, first time outside in three weeks. Been taking high dosages of steroids medication for the ol' kidney transplant
and it sure felt great to get out
Below is the rest of my pickups, besides the silver round errors.
Besides picking up a nice Franklin proof toned(of course)
I found what I first thought a basic everyday common CWT, but feeling the heavy weight and being thicker than normal it
started me thinking.......Hmmmm, maybe a host coin?.....Not sure as I will look into it further.
Here is the CWT in question, maybe Rick will see this thread and toss in his opinion

And for all you Franklin Lovers......btw I'm pretty sure it will CAM
Imaged through a white piece of paper to show the toning.
Virtualy mark free, only scratches on the holder.

Speaking of holders.......check out these Half Dollar holders, they half to be 1" thick
...........yet so very cool

Now...........getting to the other Civil War Item I purchased from the coin shop
This has got to be the coolest mantle, shelf clock I have run across in a very long time.
It dates circa 1860's. Its a Seth Thomas. I haven't done much research but its a beauty!
Check out the pice of paper that was stuck inside the clock.
This was a little write up

This was stuck inside,

Hand painted glass panel

If you look in the upper left and right you will see the weights.

And cool peripheral toning on that proof Franklin!

My father in law had something similar that he passed one of his children (not my wife) when he broke up his house. His was from the 1830s.
I might be all wrong, but I think that the Civil War token is a copy. I think that it was made from transfer dies from a genuine piece. It seems to have fuzzy details, and the planchet does not have a 19th century look to it. Given the fact that the planchet is thicker than normal, I would have thought that it might have had a sharper, not weaker strike.
I know that this strike difference might be due to the late die state, but I don't care for this piece. I wish I had an example of Fuld 197/380 to photograph and post, but I don't
That has a shot at a CAM.
That would account for extra thickness, loss of detail, and what looks like peeling.

That's what I was thinking as well, but still haven't had time to look into it.
Its not like a spent a fortune on a rare CWT.......its $10 worth of amusement
