Just made a NEWP on one I have always wanted!!

I put off the purchase for most of my life and finally sprung for it. I missed the china car many years ago and it got out of range for my Budget. Hawaii Dollar is way out,,No fun in that. So I grabbed this before it happened again. image

This piece is Pop3/1. This is the sellers photo.

Yes, the tail feathers are well placed tone. Be great if it continued to blue. Most I looked at were greyish. No flash. There was a gorgeous one that went off at Long Beach in a NGC 66 holder that was Like this.

What an outrageously lovely coin. Congrats. Always liked these - and just imagine getting one in change at the turn of the century - but never could figure out how to slip one into my collecting interests. After seeing your's maybe its time to reconsider!!!

    ok fellows..

You have a super top end coin, and if it is for sale, please let me know.. Not 4 me, but...
My friend, a German high end Colonial collector, has the complete set, including the 2 gold pieces in PROOf...(very few made and with a history/ pedigree in proof)
he has a second set in proof where only the 10 mark gold piece is missing. he purchased my GNG coins , all MS64 to MS 66 4 years ago.
they are recognized sleepers amongst colonial collectors...
he is into colonial India right now and i think this is why he missed this one..
His Great Grand father was a top General there...for him, it is family
if anybody sincerely wishes to contact him, please PM me.
Today is the first day of the rest of my life

Here's the image courtesy of the Secure Plus (every SP gets one), but I think that the seller has better captured it overall.

Beautiful coin, and a design I have always liked. I still kick myself for not buying a nicely toned piece about 15 years ago.

Wow, got a Pf64 somewhere which is nice also...
Lovely design. Somehow, I like it better on the smaller denominations compared to the 5 Mark.

Well, to be truthful, I've on before ("Greig" as my handle); for reasons unknown (but likely attributable to my incompetence at computers...), I ended up with a new name.

But I do appreciate the welcome!

Greig , thanks for showing us your new name and for comments on the coin.

7jags, I agree. Do you Think I should stock up to avoid the rush of forum member out looking for one now? image

Don't think there is enough of us. Make for a nice display if you were to have a bunch. Let me know if you run into a bunch! LOL
I got all of them in proof save the ? half mark I think. Nice coins regardless. I had to pop for one of the gold late model redoes.
