silver quarters weigh 6.25 or 6.30 grams?

I had thought newly-minted silver quarters weighed 6.25 grams. However I notice that PCGS Coinfacts lists the silver Statehood Quarters as 6.30 grams. Did the weight actually change or does PCGS consider five hundredeths of a gram negligible?

"pre-1965 standards" which would be 6.25 grams according to the Redbook.

In this day and age of counterfeits it's not in the least helpful to be rounding off weights.It's one thing to think , yeah..it's just a state quarter but do they do this with other coins too ?

The 90% silver Proof quarters are all supposed to be made to pre-1965 standards, which would
be a weight of 6.25 grams and a silver content of .18084 ounce of silver per coin. In reality, we
have noticed that many of the modern Proof silver quarters weigh 6.3 to 6.35 grams, on an
accurate scale. Perhaps the manufacturer of the blanks was given a mandate that none would
weigh less than 6.25 grams, and is making sure that they meet or exceed this requirement.

It would be interesting to see what a large quantity of these would melt out at.
