the bank box?
I get this reply:
Dear bobandlinda1,
Hello my grandpa pass in 07 and im not a 100% sure how long he had it in the bank box. My family just got together and we decide to sell it.Thanks
- powerstorker
Seems his gramps bought it from the grave!
bob
I wonder how many bidders think it's legit? It's without question the NGC 67 example.
Anyone notify Heritage? This is also a copyright infringement correct? It's a pic taken by the auction house.
EDIT: The seller offers a 14 day return window, what will the buyer receive?
Bet he or she is starting to get the jitters, since we all know it's a bogus listing.
You will not receive the coin pictured. Curious as to what you will receive.
EDIT: Bet the seller drives a Ford Powerstroke diesel pickup
<< <i>why doesn't some one report this as fraud he has a number of other bogus listings also >>
why not share with us how to do it?
.
<< <i>Ahh use the report item link on the auction? >>
go ahead and do that and report back how it works out :-)

I've gotta admit i'm following this thread and auction to see what happens. Pretty suprised ebay has it still up and running.
<< <i>go ahead and do that and report back how it works out :-) >>
i am being serious. last time i clicked the report item link i thought i had entered an episode of the twilight zone!

He used a Heritage pic no question for the 93S, so I'm thinking he used a Heritage pic for the 09S VDB too.
Here is the pic in the listing. Help me find the origin. Is there a way to refine a search, say MS SVDB's using Heritage?
Didn't want to join, maybe a CU member can help me out. I wanna out this dude someone is gonna get scortched.
Pic used in the listing. I'm guessing 64BN. Some specific markers on this piece, the color may have been adjusted.
Link to the 09S VDB listing

Good luck on this one.

He doesn't posses any of the coins listed, IMO. All of them are different styles n sizes, no consistency.
Look at Lindedads listings all the same style, 68camaro all the same style, Leheigh96 all the same.
Someone please help with finding the origin of the 09SVDB pic above.
I've been looking but there is thousands to go through on Heritage..

I'm lookin too. Tried a Google search and looked at tons of pics, no luck.
I won't stop!
Scott
it was listed previously before altering the images. we can speculate as to why
.
A bit more Red than the current listing suggests.
I'm not stopping and will make it tough for this seller.
Scott
dangit, where is that image of the simpson's characters with the torches!
muuaaahhahaaaa

I went through the Stacks archives couldn't find squat.
It's definitely a pirated pic, have that gut feeling. My gut hasn't done me wrong yet.
I bet there is a way to scan a pic to find the match, an app of sorts.
Thanks for the effort though, they're workin on it ATS too.
since the color is off between the obv/rev i was checking 09-s obverses and vdb reverses, but there are too many possibilities
.
I was thinking the same, looks like two different coins.
I gotta hit the sack, on it in the morn though.

The seller is full of shat, I know that, we know that and he knows that.
The Gold piece and Barber quarter have been nuked but the 09S VDB is still live.
If anyone has time please see if you can locate the origin of the VDB pics in this thread.
The seller has listed it twice, he or she adjusted the color.
Looking through Teletrade archives now.
My icon IS my coin. It is a gem 1949 FBL Franklin.
Thanks for your effort Jcarney. Robec/Bob seems to think it's a Stacks pic.
I have looked hundreds, maybe it's a combination of 2 different coins.
The buyer more than likely will not receive a MS 09S VDB.

I also looked through Teletrade's archives. It became obvious immediately that TT's pics aren't nearly that good. Looked through all the Ebay auctions too. Nada.
I will say that if this is two different coins (I doubt it, seller isn't that clever) the photo was taken by the same person/setup...it just has the same "look". Notice the shadow on "IN GOD WE TRUST" on the obverse and "E PLURIBUS UNUM" on the reverse. It looks like the same lighting source. It would be difficult to match that closely on two different coins/setups.
My icon IS my coin. It is a gem 1949 FBL Franklin.
Again thanks for the effort. I also scanned through hundreds of images just by Googling 1909 S VDB, no luck.
Some were close but not dead on. I too noticed that the shadow at the top of the coin is similar on the obv. and rev.
It's not the sellers pic, as I requested several times for another pic.
EDIT: Was hoping Charmy might even recognize it, sure she has seen hundreds or even thousands of SVDB's.
Hello I writing you to let you know why i'm ending my auction on this item is because two many people are trying reporting me saying this coin is not a real coin but this coins is 100% real. But they even done it on a set of lawn mower tires too. but i believe on this item what it was is they were throw me offer like $3000 and $4000 and i declined them. But you can feel free to make me a offer, but im going to write all the bidders to be fair. Thanks

This sucks. I've looked at so many images of high grade 1909s vdb Lincolns that my lowly PCGS EF45 seems like a vile, disgusting slug now. I should just go spend it.
