I got rained out of soybean harvest today so I made a quick trip to one of the local dealers who called me a few days ago saying he had some neat stuff set aside for me.
I purchased a really neat looking 29 oz. sterling silver chalice made by Luis Molina. The chalice came in a small carrying case with an 8 oz sterling silver plate, both were wrapped in velvet bags and came with religious clothes. It is in excellent condition and I paid $1,250 for it.

My rotary dial up phone doe not have this feature
It is red like the Bat phone
Most digital cameras do a nice job.
<< <i>That sounds like a "Common Cup" Communion set to me.
I'm cell-phone "challenged", people can't belive it. Though the home phone is not Batman red, I do have a red Swingline stapler (think "Office Space")... >>
Not sure how common it is, I have never seen a silver chalice for sale at any of the dealers I frequent although I did some research and found some large sterling chalices for sale with some selling for over $10,000 retail.

"Common Cup" meaning that all who take Communion do so from the "same" cup, as opposed to the small individual glass/plastic cups. It was not meant to imply that this is a "common" item....
I believe that is a Communion set - the Chalice for the wine (Blood), and the plate for the unleavened bread wafers (Body).

I believe by the description you are correct.Without pictures or descriptions of hallmarks it's impossible to date it though,i'd start with the hallmarks and determine country of origin.
