Has anyone seen a colorized version of this coin? I wonder if PCGS would grade one. image

Sure they would just put Genuine on the slab instead of a grade and whats the code for AT?

The red, white, and blue painted ones are my favorites. If you sent one in you'd probably have the pop 1 corner on the market...food for thought for those looking to add prestige to their registry collection. image

Not the kind of "prestige" that I'd be looking for.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    The name is LEE!

Some don't sell at any reduced premium. Many do. There is a demand for the nicer ones. The ones
that look like it was done by an amateur are melt.

Not that I care for them but some folk must.

did you notice the smiley face and the wink at the end of my posts? yes, being facetious. you'd think the absurdity would be apparent, especially to the purists and perfectionists of numismatics that reside here.

I wonder why anyone would buy painted coins and I thought it would be fun to suggest that someone painted, unknowingly or as an enthusiast of painted coins, a valuable coin like the 2008w reverse of 2007. image

I saw the smiley face and knowing you I just sat back and watched what everyones reaction was going to be.

I got 13 of them from the mint and had PCGS grade them. 12 MS69 and 1 MS 70 all 1st strikes. Sold all of them for a total of over $5K.
