Do you ever find early U.S. type in Canadian venues?

I'm always amazed at what is still floating around in the Great White North, of early U.S. type (Seated, Bust). I'm sure that DoubleEagle59 can attest to this. I just bought a CCCS F-12 1820 Large 0 Capped Bust quarter from a Montreal based auction house, and it is reassuring to know that CCCS is on the conservative side of grading U.S. type. image

I've seen a smattering of earlier US type coins in shops in Toronto, but they're almost all inevitably a) raw, b) cleaned, and c) o-ver-priced! (Just like most of the ones in shops back home.)

When I was in Toronto and Montreal, I found the U.S. offerings to be consistently overpriced. Cheers, RickO
