You can't keep a good metal down

...at least not as long as BO & BB are around. Everything else is going to hell, but at least "my metal is worth more."
Those of you that were hoping for more QE3, I hope that you're happy because your metal may continue to be worth more, and so will everything else, or should I say, it's going to cost you more.
In case you can't see thru my sarcasm, I feel this is going to be a huge blow to our longer term financial well being. Time will tell, prepare yourself. Better buy alot of ammo and more guns than you'll ever need. (drip drip)

To forgive is to free a prisoner, and to discover that prisoner was you.

Dow was 13300, and looking at my mutual fund IRAs only hurt my ego and my wallet.
Highest silver price since March 5th 2012, which puts the majority of my PM purchases below this.
<< <i>I'm happy !!! >>
Thats exactly what it was designed to do, make you and all others happy. That way you are more likely to stay away from the polls on November 6th.
This should have the opposite effect in the sense that taking out another credit card to pay the previous one down never works, it may temporarily cause the anxiety level to go down but the pill eventually has to be swallowed.
Like I said, I'd rather my stocks and silver go temporarily south, than to have the Deconstructrer of America get one more day let alone four more years of this I Hate America obamanation.

Sad day for anyone who cares about their childrens future.
Sad day for anyone who cares about their childrens future.
I wouldn't be so quick to celerbrate, regardless. How long before big brother decides to up the tax on metals gains from 28% to 50%?
That ounce you just bought might double, but when you sell, the after tax proceeds won't even buy back what you just sold.
Yes, it's even worse for fixed incomes, and the longterm prospects are even worse than that for the kids.
We've got to stop giving power to the ones who totally abuse it, and we've GOT to stop giving money to the ones who hate America. You can't buy friendship, and anyone who still believes that is a complete fool.
What frustrates me most is that it doesn't have to be this way. There's no justification for all this self-doubt and self-recrimination in America.
(Edited to add "after tax")
I knew it would happen.
I nominate this for the comment of the year (so far) here.

Children who inherent stacks of PMs will be better able to weather the coming storms.

Bravo....now to elect those who will embody this behavior. Cheers, RickO

Corporate America will not allow anyone else to succeed as demonstrated with the treatment of a recent candidate and his delegates. To even be a horse in the race you have to commit and deliver your allegance to the wrong group.

I don't see the comparison , in 1776 the people believed in themselves and what they stood for , shaking off the manacles of the British was one thing , it won't be anywhere near as easy with who's running the show now.People are more likely to absorb themselves in the latest PSX game than concern themselves.Sure there's a lot of idle chitter chatter but we seen what happens when one occupies Wall st for example, have a look around,Americas fastest growing industry is prisons and homeland security, they are ready for anyone feeling froggy.

I do agree with you.
My comment was more tongue-in-cheek, however you could find many similarities when comparing the British rule in 1776 to the US government of today.

When you start actually reading the Declaration, you can pick up on some analogies fairly quickly. Denial of the problem and belief that nothing can be done about it, is not the answer. What's PSX?
I knew it would happen.

Not likely to happen with an administration that APOLOGIZES to the same scum that murders our ambassador and his aides. It's time to stomp our enemies mercilessly with no apologies, not pander to them.
My icon IS my coin. It is a gem 1949 FBL Franklin.

He's apologizing because there's currently alot of hate out there right now for Americans and he's scared it's going to get worse if you know what I mean.
Personally i'd send a memo to all Isrealites telling them that on a certain day the whole region is going to be nuked, get out of the region by that day. It's hard for me to say that being the Christian that I am always working on trying to be, but I can't hide, or help the way I feel about it not being perfect as my Maker is.

Apologies will do absolutely nothing to lessen their hatred for us. It will only serve to increase their perception that we are weak. If Israel had been hit like this, they would have exacted, without apology, a terrible retribution by now. That is why even though they're hated, they're respected.

<< <i>inflation of the money supply is necessary to water down the debt. The FED is responding to the results of out of control spending and borrowing.
>>
I agree
although its not good for the savers when you intentionally inflate, the Fed has no choice. With a Congress that has no restraint and spending out of control, they either create the money or the rates go over the top and the whole game crashes.
The FED is just providing the juice for the junkie, without it the junkie will die. It's up to Congress to get us into Rehab and ween the system off the addiction, and it's not looking likely.
