Decision making disorder about my 1988 Gold ANA Panda

I guess these 1 oz. Gold Panda's are considered 'medals'. 1,000 were made for the 1988 ANA convention in Cincinnati. They were initially sold in plastic liners and, a small blue box and COA. I still have the box but not the COA. For years, occassionaly they could be found with very little premium to melt. I had mine slabbed about 10 years ago, stuck with my 'bullion' coins and forgot about it. Recently, I been trying to sort out what should be liquidated and the 'bullion' box was a likely target. When I pulled this thing out and started researching what I could expect to get for it, I was shocked to see that the premium on this thing has basically risen to 2X melt, so now I'm thinking it might be a good thing to hold onto. There are no 70's that have been graded. NGC has graded less than 10 in 69 and PCGS only 4. So now I'm wondering if I should take a shot and see if it will cross into PCGS PR69DCAM, or just leave well enough alone. I'm not looking to sell it now, just trying to figure how to best preserve its future value. Thanks for any thoughts.

I have 2 of those in the same grade and slabbed about the same time as you did. I personally
would not try to cross it. It's my experience that most Panda collectors prefer NGC plastic.

I bet that coin would look stunning in one of those retro-slabs from ats. The black would really set off the gold.
