Silver hit $38 ?

When do you feel is the next time silver will hit $38?

Personally I do not feel Bernanke will announce the QE3 before the elections, but given this, is there still an opportunity to hit $38 before year end?

Thanks for your well-informed opinions.

  • Somewhere on some thread I said $45.00 by December 22nd 2012 and I'm sticking with that projection.

I agree with the no QE3 before the election, unless some black swan event pops its head up. If that happens QE3 may dwarf QE1 & QE2 combined.

And if that happens I'll raise my 45 to 62.

I like the way you think '#sUSAcom'.

But for the short term (end of this year) I don't see silver hitting $38.

The stock markets rose over 2000 points in the last 24hrs, the only thing in red is gold, down $7. fricking unbelievable! We, well I have been anyway for months for Europe to start some stimulas and gold is not moving. Don't tell me the entire world is waiting for the US nonfarm jobs report.........just unbelievable!

I'd rather see Silver climb up steady then spike up to $38 so it more likely stays up. So I'm not too interested in a rushed deadline.
But there has to be up and down spikes along the way or it would not be fun. Downspikes and deals for buying along the way.

That Dow will drop like a rock. We've seen the cycle.

I don't really know that answer. Is there some significance to $38 that we should know about?

Don't be too anxious for something to happen on the schedule that is convenient for you. With silver, it is often the case that volatility happens when you don't expect it. And silver is one volatile metal! It always has been.

But there has to be up and down spikes along the way or it would not be fun.

I've been on many rides with silver. I don't know that it's ever really been fun. When it's going up, you wonder if you have enough or if you should buy more even though it's become more expensive so quickly. When it's going down, you wonder if your base cost is low enough and whether or not you will need that money for something else before the price recovers to a more comfortable level.

Volatile? Yes. Good for setting aside some core savings money - Absolutely Yes!

That included Europe, Asia and US ie; Market-watch charts...4:30 am CT but not all is lost........everyone was waiting for the nonfarm jobs report. Will we see $34 by the end of the day/week?

Just pure plain old coincidence, but I'm sitting on some paper silver at about $38, that I'd love to dump.

Me too...that is why I asked for opinions. I would like to get rid of the paper silver when it hits $38. However, if QE3 is announced next week (looks more likely with the labor force numbers today) I will probably hold onto it since we could easily see $45 ++ again.
