RYK, coinsarefun, Ambro1, Lordmarcovan, Tradedollarnut are the first to come to mind. I also read "ThePennyLady"'s with all the great pictures (Have the Pawnstars called you back?). I started "Lurking" just before BongoBongo was bammed, very opinionated but very interesting.

fyi..BongoBongo, did not get bammed...although his first only post was.
"Bongo drive 1984 Lincoln that looks like old coin dug from ground."
Ten posters? There ARE plenty of specialized forums like that always the same first name basis buddies. Nothing wrong with that I suppose but a forum CAN become a clique...much to the chagrin of a newcomer. I never really pay any attention to who starts or replays to a thread, the subject and discussion is more important.

Man, you should have see the Nun go nuts when she found a "slang book" on the other students. The book was written by the "it" crowd. Man, where are the nuns when I need one?
We're really moving the other direction in the last few years. It used to be forty or fifty posters started the lion's share of the best threads but now days there are more and those few don't start all the best ones.
I might have even broken into the top 100 thread starters!
I have dropped way down on my postings, both new threads and replies to threads created by others. Running cold at this time.
My most significant threads have been those about the Langbord lawsuit over the 1933 double eagles. Those threads did generate some interest among forumites and generated some lively discussions about a wide variety of topics and issues.
My other threads and replies are centered around 1950-70 Cameos; moderns and miscellaneous stuff all of which do not appeal to a wide audience.
I do enjoy reading threads from many members here on the forums. Some of these threads are very informative, some deal with my niche area of the hobby and some are entertaining (Too bad IWOG does not post anymore because he was irritating and entertaining at the same time).

My threads still are rarely very popular though.
I'm sorry...how does that differ from how things work now?
