100 gram ABC (Australian bullion company) old pour. $200
I've got this super nice love token/ broach/pin that is made out of an 1861 $5 gold half eagle coin.
Not only is it unique in the fact that it is the civil war date, but that the name doesn't have to be very specific literally meaning girl in Spanish
I'd like to get 425.00 for it, which is about it's value in gold alone.
Here it is pictured next to another 1861 $5 that I had on hand
I'd be open to trades as well, pm me.
Thanks

Rule 6) This forum is about Precious Metals. If your post is not directly related to Precious Metals then this is the wrong forum. Do not post it or your posting privileges may be removed.
I was going to say something, but on 2nd thought, what's the point? This place has kind of turned into a morgue anyway.
Certain people can say what they want apparently, even when the rules flat out spell it out what shouldn't be posted. I guess it's ones interpretation of what a precious metal is. I don't see iron, steel, lead or gun powder listed

Bu-bu-bu-but OBAMA IS A MUSLIM SOCIALIST! THAT MAKES BREAKING THE LAW OKAY!!!!!
Gentlemen how do you think the PM forum got started...... It started due to the increasing number of posts on the Coin forum.
Iv'e seen a lot of Gun related posts on all the forums here, from self defense, dealer protection, concealed carry BM owners, alternate hobby etc.
PM's were not coins, PCGS dont grade pm's (yet) and yet they have allowed due to interest a PM forum, so who's to say they will not create a Guns&Ammo forum some day.
If I get out of line and start consistently/abnormaly posting gun/ammo related threads and posts then call me on it. Otherwise if we don't cut each other a little slack this will become an extremely boring place to visit.
Again, thought one might appreciate having 1st dibs on something I knew a lot of you have interest in.
Why send a pm to someone who you know doesn't care for the subject ...to antaginize them?
Otherwise if we don't cut each other a little slack this will become an extremely boring place to visit.
On that I totally agree, and to be honest, it's become a little stale around here imho.
I say bring back gecko109 to liven things up

Pieces,
I did not know you would not be interested. I took it, (and I must have misinterpreted Spooly's note about you wrong) by his comment that you would be interested, therefor the pm to let you know. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
$100 face 90%. Mixed Halves/Quarters (mostly) & dimes............$2500
Too many positive BST transactions with too many members to list.
Gone. Thanks UNLV!

Got this in a lot of silver I purchased. When I looked it up after the deal it appears that this particular date in the series brings a bit of premium over silver content. Apparently almost 3x silver. When I purchased it I believe silver was in the $25 range and these were selling on ebay in the 65 - 75 range.
Anyhow, if there's anyone who is interested in this one, contact me and let's see if we can get a deal worked out on it.
Coin is as pictured. There are some small spots on the obverse at about 7 o'clock. I went for the cameo look when I took the pictures, so at other angles the spots, not milk spots, are more noticeable.
Just a cross reference for the BST post I have up ... ASE's, Bars, some 90%, a piece of gold
“We are only their care-takers,” he posed, “if we take good care of them, then centuries from now they may still be here … ”

NumbersUsacom, you have been misinformed. Per PCGS the PM forum "is a forum for the discussion of precious metals and how that relates to coin collecting." Many, many coins are made of precious metals and PCGS does grade them. Being that PM's are in most of the coins that PCGS grades, PCGS decided to devote a forum for their discussion.
PCGS, in their rules. have made it clear what the discussion boundaries are. Exceeding them will not result in more forums, but will likely result in less members and one less forum where the trouble occurs. PCGS is the one who has been cutting the slack. They have also made it clear they will shut down the forum if the rule violations get out of hand. This is why members keep reminding other members of the rules - PCGS has left us to keep ourselves in line until they see the need to do so themselves.
