got a great deal on 62 oz of platinum american eagles

last week i called around to buy some platinum american eagles and got quotes of $150-185 above spot on each coin. i decided to hold off my purchase until yesterday and decided to pull the trigger when my dealer asked for $85 over spot. don't think i've seen a deal like this on platinum eagles for MONTHS now.

    That definately is a hoard of PM money wise.

    I also purchased platinum yesterday but it was only 1 oz., A 2012 Aussie Platypus for $75 over spot.

    Of course looking at platinum trading $200 or so below gold perhaps it is a good time to pick some up as eventually platinum always leapfrogs over gold.

    Several years ago, I was at a show where a dealer was trying to get very near spot for a large (15 or 20 IMS) quantity of Proof 2004 1/4 ozers. I was interested but had nowhere near the funds.

    I bought some APE 4-coin Proof Sets from James Sego last weekend at the St. Louis Show for $130 over spot and I thought it was a good price, so your deal looks pretty good, especially if any were proofs.image
