I have never had one go south, and actually I have gotten some great scores. My faves are the 1787 Guinea from Great Britain, the two $20 1967 Centennial coins from Canada and a couple of National bank notes that I will keep under the kippers. I like the BST, I buy so much more stuff there than fleaBay etc these days.

Nothing but satisfactory experiences for me - on both the buying and selling sides.

I have never bought or sold anything from the BST yet . One reason is I am not to good on the computer or anything else of technology. But I will be retiring next year and hope to improve in that area and become a much more active member. It looks like a lot of fun.

I have completed one transaction. A straight up trade, coin for coin, and it went very well.

    Me too!!

    All good experiences.

I've had a couple guys back out of purchases, but they've communicated their change of mind properly and within a short time frame.

Over 100 positive transactions on the BST forum! Only one went south, the guy vanished with my coin and his MO never arrived.

Although I've only done about 10 transactions on the BST here, they have all been very much satisfactory...some of my favorite issues in my collection came from the BST, including my first ancient and my first anything from the 1700s.

Numerous positive transactions which have to more repeat transactions. Imo underutilized by some dealers.

Met only one scum bag and the members here helped track him down and make it right. Positives by the hundreds with some where around $20K in buy and sells, have never made a trade.

Nothing but positive transactions here, probably in the $20,000 range buying and selling over the past 8 years. The audience can be a thin one so sometimes there's just not a buyer at any reasonable price even if the coin is great, and ordinary things don't exactly fly out the door, but that's nobody's fault. Sometimes the transactions can be kind of slow because we all have busy lives (I've been guilty of this myself) but all in all it's been a great place for me in both directions.

I'm pretty sure my sales and purchases total less than $1000, and most of that is probably bullion.

No issues other than me being boneheaded and paying too much (my mistake, not theirs, since I should know the market better and not be so impulsive), or selling for too little (again, my mistake).
Other than that, bought/sold items for a few bucks up to 4 figures with no issues.

I won't buy/sell with just anyone, but I do try to be somewhat opened-minded. If there appears to be issues with how someone handles themselves and their postings, or we have butted heads more than just the normal disagreements, then I will pass. Else, I am willing to work with a lot of folks.

I've gotten some very nice coins that are in my "keep to hand down to my son" collection, thanks to the BST.

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

With one exception, always positive, buying and selling. Oh sure, I got concerned once or twice with lack of communication and late packages or checks, and I know I paid a few days after I said I would once (unavoidable work circumstance), but all in all, from both sides ... the BST has been a great resource, many times over. In fact a few of my nicest coins and best bullion deals have come around from the BST, and people I've met on these boards.

Since I mentioned it, the one exception was a new member who then disappeared ... and although at first my spidey sense felt okay with the person, I thankfully exercised a little caution (because they had no real history here and it was a sizeable deal) and paid with the PayPal CC option. Glad I did.

BTW ... good to see you Ming image

My BST transactions, both buying and selling, have all been very satisfying. I hope that the other parties can say the same.
  • Haven't sold, but got a couple of my favorites off BST. Also some great bullion deals!

I've have around 10 transactions (all as a buyer), with several for over 2K and I've had nothing but great experiences. I think this threat summarizes the class of the folks that frequent this place.
