I recently acquired these two coins. The first is an 1839-D half eagle graded by PCGS AU58. A nice upgrade to my Dahlonega type set. The other is a nice 1847-C half eagle graded NGC AU58. Along with the 51-C gold dollar it is the beginning of my Charlotte Type set

<< <i>The 39-D does have some prooflike qualities but the 47-C has that dusty, antique green gold look with the luster peering from underneath. >>
I like the way you describe that Charlotte gold. A great visual.

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
