Some Southern Gold acquistions

I recently acquired these two coins. The first is an 1839-D half eagle graded by PCGS AU58. A nice upgrade to my Dahlonega type set. The other is a nice 1847-C half eagle graded NGC AU58. Along with the 51-C gold dollar it is the beginning of my Charlotte Type set

The 39-D and 47-C are great looking new additions. Do they both have semi-prooflike surfaces?

The 39-D does have some prooflike qualities but the 47-C has that dusty, antique green gold look with the luster peering from underneath.

Most of the coins were purchased over a 15 year period from Doug Winter, Bob Harwell, and Jack Hancokc. They have the good eye.

Here is the qe from the type set. It has an old yellow green antique gold look with flashes of coppery gold. You can see traces of dirt in some areas.
