What information about the daily SPOT would be useful?

mrpaseomrpaseo Posts: 4,753 ✭✭✭
I am making a tracker (For fun this time) that pulls information from this web page every time you open it.

I am then pulling data from that TAB.

Currently I have:

Today: Which returns todays date.

Days market open: The amount of days that the market was open this year.

Latest SPOT: This shows the SPOT price of the day or the last day the market ran (Like on Friday). (Still not sure if this formula will work but I think it will).

ANN Average: Average closing SPOT for the year.

Highest SPOT: Highest SPOT for the year.

Lowest SPOT: Lowest SPOT for the year.

Spread: The difference between the highest and lowest SPOT of the year.

What information would be useful or interesting to know when looking at the closing SPOT prices for the year?

Thanks,
Ray

50 and 200 day averages are often tracked for stocks, and we all know how much the paper PM ETFs affect spot.

Curious, is it advisable to watch trend for a day? week? Month?

Charts are a good idea to get closer to what goes on short term, as long as one is aware of long term hugh dips and tanks over the years.
