Most of my cards had bad centering, even these have issues with top/bottom but they were my best, all the cards were razor sharp though, which for 37 year old cards is pretty nice

I'm typically an opener of my packs from these breaks, but considering the centering T/B we're seeing I'm thinking these guys may have to stay closed.

Does anyone know how the centering collates throughout a case of 1975's (ie are all boxes in the entire case likely to have the same centering problems)? I got my box of mini's and I have been planning on having a little bonding time with my dad and ripping it open (75's have always been his favorite), but I'm second guessing myself a little given the centering I'm seeing. Has anyone had much luck with centering from this case?

Haven't gotten my packs yet, but it looks like centering top to bottom has been a consistent problem...?

Agreed. It would be a fun rip. Leave it sealed

Looks like the cutting machine was off that day. I guess that's why the mini's are so popular, chasing that rare pack when someone was actually standing there to center up a sheet before it was cut. Good luck to the rest of the group.

Well, couldn't resisit. Was gonna hold them based on centering but just popped them. One pack had a Reggie Jackson and a Tom Seaver. The other pack had nothing.

Centering all over the place. The Seaver is way off, but the Reggie is decent and I'd have my fingers crossed on a "9"...most everything else is ungradable due to centering. Ironically, the Reggie may be the best centered card of the 2 packs

Upon further inspection, the Reggie is all jacked up in other ways. Nothing much to sub. Still a blast and definitely in for the next group poppage!

    Thanks guys!

<< <i>Try using a nylon on the World Series card if wax is on front. >>

Wow, this was the first time I actually used the nylon idea on a card to get the wax off. This worked perfectly! The hardest part was asking my wife for an old throwaway pair of nylons. lol

Opened my 4 packs today. Really not worth scanning although of course it was a blast to open. Little star power....I got a Yaz thats not too bad. Almost all had centering issues mostly top/bottom.

    Thanks for running this!

First and foremost, a special thanks to those responsible for setting this up. Came up empty on the first pack, but expectations were far exceeded on the second -- all three of these were housed in #2. Been trying to pull a Houdini act by blowing the RJ from left to right just a smidge, but to no avail. Corners/edges on my cards were typically very robust, but centering was sparse. Loads of fun, hope to do this again soon.

    Got mine yesterday from Steve.

He did a great job on mine. They won't get opened by me and when I get my scanner set up on this pc I will try to remember to take a picture.

Got my two packs today. Saw a MVP card on back of one but think it is the Al Rosen one. Not going to open and keep for my un-opened collection. I will say these packs are really crisp and tight. Very nice.

Got my packs last week. Havent Even opened the box yet. Im scaired cuz i know will open them right up.
I've been at least 4 1975 breaks on this site alone, and I always get o/c commons. I missed the nicely centered case last year of course. Not to suggest anything nefarious but I have a feeling I am in for more of the same. Might be time to start an unopened collection. Any idea if these will get 8 or 9's?

I just want to pull a nicely centered Brett in psa 10. Is that to much to ask?

<< <i>Does anybody know who the pitcher is thats displayed on the 75 Topps box?

I was thinking it might be Craig Swan or Jack Heidemann (they were the only 1975 Met pitchers who had moustaches).
It doesn't look that much like either of them though.

    Here's a link of the 1975 team 1975 METS

I'd rule out Jack Heidemann. He wasn't a pitcher.

Craig Swan maybe? Didn't Hank Webb wear number 30? That first number looks like it could be a "2"?

Don't believe it's Swan as he wasnt in the 75 set.

Iit might just be a generic player picture, also.

I think it's Dennis Quaid. It was taken at an early test run for his role of Jimmy Morris.

Nick, where did you find that? I'm surprised because Vail didn't have a card in the 75 set so it seems odd that they would use a likeness of him on
the outside of the wax box.

Small poppage.... all but the Joe Morgan and Tolan came from these packs.
