Have you seen a 31-s Buff with a better strike than this?

Crazy4CoinsCrazy4Coins Posts: 1,922 ✭✭✭
How close to "Full Strike" would you call this?

Care to guess the grade on this one? Hint: There are only 2 in 67. One can be seen on coin facts and in the registry.

Currently slabbed as MS66 Imo, 66+ all day long with a solid shot at 67.

    In a word "NO".

This is what they mean when they use the word "MONSTER" or "MOOSE".

    Very nice Buff!

That's a great strike. Certainly better than mine, which is a 66. I'll guess 66+.

That is one gorgeous speciman of a Buff nickel!!! Congratulations. I felt sure it was a 67, but I guess if there are only two,
it must be a 66+. Again, thank you for sharing.

Far above average. This is one of those unrecognized great strike rarities from the late '20s and early '30s. I've looked at a couple thousand of this date online and in person for my Buff strike study-I've never seen a full strike for a '31-S.

I've seen reverses as nice as that one, but the obverse is killer. LIBERTY is as good as it gets.
