I really cant see eyes, ears and olives (?) through that glare from this pic. Not sure what you are looking for in this post or am I missing a joke? It would be an R3 right?

I was looking for a reply or two such as mbogoman's. I'm not sure I'd be able to produce a (funny) joke from that set up.
it has a strange look to it, not original finish in my estimation, but the pic is not the greatest as has been stated previously here. it looks like it's hanging on a bid board, so why not just have your friend ask the
Do you trust that someone who has the knowledge to recognize a 1901 doubled die reverse Morgan dollar would simultaneously be so careless as to price it at a fraction of its market value? Seems strange to me.

Indeed. I saw it was in the top 50 Vams or wharever it is called in 30 seconds, and then the R3 status...makes one think about that $65.

I agree, and that is what I told my friend. The pic sucks but the color looks off to me. I was hoping someone might immediately be able to spot if it was a fake. Ill have better pics tomorrow but a smaller time window to authenticate the piece as I dont want to leave my friend standing there waiting around while I post. She will be the beneficiary of any profit from this if it turns out to be such, but I have little hopes that it is a cherrypick opp.
I have my doubts on the 1901. Something doesnt smell right here. Also there are 2 coins I can see maybe 3 that look worn past the point of VG to G or lower and the 1660c coin was dug up. Might be just happenstance but theres enough here to really question this lot and if its really worth the risk. I would probably pass on this.

OK, so Ive wated everyones time. My friend went back and saw no doubled up feathers on the reverse. I sent her the vamworld pics to use as a reference. I guess the expectation is that someone will look this up in the price guide without knowing what to look for and double them up for the perceived cherry pick?
