Could have sworn there was a "Where is Felicia now" thread, but can't find it now

  • << <i>I find the whole Felicia con fascinating. IMO, Scott Yermish or what ever his name was working a long con on the board and other things (bigger scams)got in the way before he was able to capitalize on his work here. His ability to win over long time members who continued to defend his name to the end, show how con men are able to build trust and twist minds. It also shows that our hobby, like just about any other that one that involves high dollar items, is always prone to scamsters and schemesters looking to make their buck with no consideration for the hobby itself.
I also feel like posting zombie pictures as a reply to that thread was a weird defense mechanism to downplay the severity of the issue but maybe I am over analyzing. >>

right on,, somewhat like the tornado dude with the mickey card give away,,, did anyone ever find out if he actually gave it to someone or it didnt reach his asking price did he give the money away to people in need or did his supporter just bury it under the i was wrong about him but will not man up calling him out,,,, image wow where'de that come from,,, wow

I saw Elizabeth Hurley up close in Aspen a few years back and... well... it made me very sad.

    True story.

So now, when I look at a girl that isn't quite attractive, I'll think about what she'll look like with a makeover. At least that'll be my excuse from now on when I wake up in the morning.

<< <i>Actually, it looks to me like the case was dropped, based on the balance as well as the docket entries after 4/6/12 >>

    Judgment: 04/03/2012, Docketed: 04/25/2012
    Total Judgment: $50,252.98

Looks like the only entry after this date was this one:
04/17/2012 CANCELED Motion for Prove Up (8:30 AM) (Judicial Officer Cadish, Elissa F.)
    Vacated - Case Closed

I do not practice in this area, but I believe the Judgment is still in place and the "Prove-Up" is just the final step that needs to be completed before the JUDGMENT is final.

<< <i>I wonder if he was talking about Elemenopeo's attempt to trade his way to the '52 Mantle where he said he was going to auction off the card and give half to charity and put the other half in a college fund >>

Craig, I don't think that was what he was talking about. I think he was referring to the guy who said he was selling grab bags and giving the money to his old home town which was devastated by the tornadoes. He also stated that if he sold "x" amount of grab bags he was going to "give away" a (real POS) '52 Mantle. Unfortunately he forgot to say that he was first going to take money for himself from the "donations" to compensate what he (over)paid for the Mantle.

Ahhh...I guess it has been a while since I've tried to understand Rubeanese, something the guy I was trying to understand clearly speaks fluently.

Thank you for putting it into English. image

This reminds me of the thread where Geordie and Bill (LSUTigers) used to debate about whether or not Lady Gaga has a schlong.

That, and whether Dead or Alive was truly the greatest band from the 80s.

for the record, part 2: in a weak moment, I let it slip that a former guilty pleasure of mine was "you spin me right round". Nick (and now Dan) have never let me live that down.

There, now you can all laugh at me.

<< <i>Felicia or Scott? Is it a guy or girl or hybrid? Its kind of like that recent AOL picture of Faith Hill early in the morning at LAX airport taken by the paparazzi. I'm still trying to figure out if she's a woman, man or maybe even a stand-in member for Led Zeppelin!

And yes that IS Faith Hill below as she really looks before her "transformation team" spends hours working on her to create the "product" on the right!

Be it sportscards or people sometimes not all the glitters is gold...

Her voice ain't what it used to be. The last time she could hit the high notes on "Stairway" and "Over the Hills" was in late '72.

That's pretty insightful analysis right there and on the money, imo.. >>

I agree. I always wondered how people can get taken by total strangers for their life savings. I guess the con men initially shower thieir targets with kindness and generosity to win the undying loyalty of their targets before they sweep in for the 'take'. Of course it's all speculation on whether he had criminal aspirations in mind for this forum at a later time. My point is just that the above post I quoted is a very insightful theory about con men in general.

I'll one up you: I like "Bad Romance" by Gaga. Skin boat or not, that's one crazy video. Then I saw the Alejandro video, and well....my rods and cones are all messed up now. not that there's anything wrong with it...
