Channel 2 News with be running a story exposing several less than scrupulous gold buyers in the Chicagoland area on the 10 o'clock news tonight, May 17.

I am working in the Chicago area for the next few months.... but do not plan on selling any gold

The problem with gold buying anywhere, is not just purity factors, the ever changing spot prices, and percentages. Some sellers have told me that my competitors pay "twenty dollars for gold rings, 10 dollars for earrings and up to $100 for certain pocket watches"

The best one I've seen regionally in Nebraska is the Car Dealership that advertises "We Buy Gold". They should say "We have your platinum covered".

All these gold buyers dream of buying ferraris and mansions. Theyll rip off their own moms. Thats why when I hear They got burned, I laugh and proclaim "good for them, hope they get burned one more time"
Plus general public perception of gold buyers, are grandma robbers.
