Could PCGS set up a service that alerts people when specific coins grade?

If I had a registry set and needed a coin, it would be pretty darn hard as a lowly collector to find the coin. It sure would be nice that if a certain coin graded, PCGS send out a message and say "Hey Pal, the coin you have been looking for for 8 years just graded!". In addition, it might also be used to match the submitter with an interested collector if there was interest in selling the coin. That might work like this "Hey submitter, someone has an interest in your coin, if you are interested in selling it, click on this link and we'll hook you two up".
That should be pretty straight forward.

I like to go into CoinFacts and see all of the new images that have been uploaded... if you didn't already know, there's a spot where you can check every coin photo that gets added and it's updated every business day. I saw a few coins recently that I would just love to own. Sort of wished there was a button to click in order to contact the owner to see if they were up for selling the coin. Oh well. At least you can track the certification number to see if it ever gets added to a Registry set, so that is helpful.

It would be a cool service, but as stated above, it will not happen. It would compromise the TPG credibility.
Check out the Southern Gold Society
<< <i>Also, as a collector, I would not submit coins to a TPG that subsequently publicized that such-and-such a coin had been graded, even if there was no way to connect it with me, the owner. >>
You do know there is a population report, right? And they have had some news releases related to certain coins being graded...

They already provide this service.
Its called the Registry Pop Reports.
My good buddy grandam has alerted me, on more than one occasion, to certain high grade IKE's showing up in the pops.

I recently submitted a 1946-s sans serif dime with just 4 graded by Pcgs. I am sure there are collectors out there that do not read these boards that may be interested in the coin. I am not a collector of the series nor do I know who is "in" the series outside of some good help I got here attributing the coin. I think that as a company with a clear populous of collectors, somethig could be done to reduce the time and hassle of tracking down coins. There are other coins I'm interested that just don't come up that often that I would be interested in buying if available.
PCGS has a box you check on your online account that YOU decide to make your submissions public, and if checked, any member can see all the coins and grades of your submission. How hard would it be to add another check box to add an "alert me if a coin grades" or "allow others to be alerted of my grades". Details after that would need to be worked out....
Maybe I should just make an app that does all this outside of PCGS. This is patent pending, copyrighted, trademarked, and proprietary information
like registry sets have collectors corners add coin solicits
