Ruger Stock "RGR" may be predicting a.....

Romney Win. RGR's action maybe a real good predictive barometor of presidential elections. The recent reversal from 60 to 45 may be an indication that BayRock's days are numbered and weighed in the balance and found wanting. RGR'S stock was fueled by his election and the "in the knows" may be fleeing the stock while the time is ripe.image

Thus prepare for a slightly more conservative take on the financial situation of America, which in the long run will be beneficial to PM's

RGR has gone up due to their million gun challenge. The pullback this week I dunno, but the rise was mostly on ridiculous sales for that $1 match/gun they did.

to add: I'd actually say the drop this week is a lot of profit taking.

I would think that having fiscal responsibility would be a negative for PMs. No?

    No.

I read on here that fiscal irresponsibility is positive for PM prices. Fiscal responsibility is also good for PM prices.
Inflation is good for PM prices, and deflation is good for PM prices. Decreased gold production is good for PM prices, and increased gold production is good for PM prices. Increased gold demand is good for PM prices, and decreased gold demand is good for PM prices. Increased regulation is good for PM prices, and decreased regulation is good for PM prices. Increased market manipulation is good for PM prices, and decreased market manipulation is good for PM prices. Higher gun sales are good for PM prices, and lower gun sales are good for PM prices. Lower unemployment is good for PM prices, and higher unemployment is good for PM prices. Social unrest is good for PM prices, and social contentment is good for PM prices. Political conflict is good for PM prices, and more world peace is alsogood for PM prices.

I am in the camp that a romney win, would excite the financial markets, and cause money to flow into the stock market, real estate, and so forth, and leave PM's in a he11 of a hurry.

I think I get it now. How about an asteroid the size of Mt Everest hitting Earth?

And I agree with jdimmick that rising equity prices will hurt PM prices. And that is exactly what we've seen since August.

I think the Mormon death wish of the Repubs will keep Obama in fine fettle for the rest of his disassembly of this place.

Ruger has had, and will continue to have, a great sales year. Next year could see a cooling of the firearm market, but it will remain strong. Should the administration gain a second term.. next year will see gun sales double the already incredible sales of the last couple of years. At least until politics puts a clamp on the entire market. Cheers, RickO

I am foreman of a tool and die shop here in Arizona.

I can tell you this, we are building extensive tooling fixtures for both Ruger and Leopold ( gun scopes and optics ). Ruger cannot keep up with orders and has recent;y purchased a new manufacturing line of CNC machinery. My shop is helping them tool up for some major production increases.

I don't know how this applies to stock or finances, but their commitment to customers orders and new products seem pretty solid. There new SR-1911 has a want list a mile long ( I will purchase at least 2 of these ) and their new AR-15 platform gun has had brisk sales ( I just bought one :-).........
