What previously unattainable rarity has now achieved "widget" status in your book?

SVDB is the first that comes to mind. '77 indians are next. Believe it or not, '56 Fliers have lost their appeal due to their relatively high mintage, I mean 2000 is a pretty big number, and for the money, a patient man gan get a lot more.

Sad though. I do sorta long for the days when these coins meant so much to me.

proof 1867 with rays nickels. Once thought a super-rarity, today there are quite a few [on a relative basis] known.

The 1857-S double eagle was once virtually unobtainable in MS-64 to 66, but because of the SS Central America recovery, they are now common. They continue to be expensive "widgets," but they are usually available at the major shows.

In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

The 1903-O Morgan Dollar has to be mentioned. They went from Uber-rare to roll-quantity widget over night. Edited to add: I believe this was in the early 1960s, though that was before my time.

This coin is the one that first occurred to me as well. At the local Tucson coin show last year, I saw 4 of them for sale.

Certain Morgan dollar dates were rare until the big GSA sales in the late 1960's.
